Book Review ~ Lord Change Me

A couple of years ago my prayer life had stalled and I was feeling frustrated that my family members were not making the changes I knew they needed to make. About this time a precious Christian mentor of mine suggested the book "Lord Change Me" by Evelyn Christianson. She mentioned that she had gone through a similar experience and that this book was a real turning point for her. I rushed out and bought it right away. It is was so full of biblical wisdom that I could only read two or three pages at a time. You know the kind of book you end up highlighting the entire book!
It is an area that I still revisit from time to time but this book has been a real blessing. It has helped me in my prayer life and helped me keep my focus on what I need to change within myself instead of what I think others in my life need to change. What a huge burden to put down.
First published in 1977, "Lord, Change Me" outlines seven methods of real, inside-out change as well as ways to check to be sure it is God who is doing the changing. Some of the chapters in the book include:
