Fun Web Sites For Kids
By Shelley Cassar
The internet can be a great teaching and learning tool for families. For me the tough part is finding the sites that are not only family friendly but easy to use. I am always looking for new sites that are child friendly or Mom friendly. Below are some of our favorites, check them out and see if they are right for your family. I would love to hear what sites your family enjoys!
http://www.wonderzone.com/ - Lots of games, adventures, devotionals, and activities. Run by Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), the Good News Club people.
http://www.freekidsmusic.com/ - especially great for the younger kids. Hundreds of songs to choose from and download for free.
http://www.deepspacesparkle.blogspot.com/ - this one I just found and it is a blog. It has some great art projects for Kindergarten through 6th graders. I am going to try some!
http://www.getonemorestory.com/ - You have to signup for this and there is a yearly fee, but it is a great site! Great access to lots of story's and the kids can follow along by themselves too!
http://www.howrse.com/ - for the horse crazy boy or girl in your house!
http://www.funbrain.com/ - This is a not only fun for the kids but very educational and I can sometimes fit it into our teaching at home.
